HOW MOTHERHOOD HAS CHANGED ME

To begin with, becoming a Mother changes all that you have ever been in your life. From a carefree 22 year old newly married to being a Mom of a 1 year old by 24, life has been full of ups and down but nothing compares to the blissful feeling of being a Mom. Initial pregnancy days were sad because of an unplanned one, but the first sonogram itself starts turning you into a Mother. The person who hated fruits and dry fruits made sure to eat it all daily, who never had milk since dont know how many years was now having milk twice a day. The girl who was never into kids, started finding all the kids adorable and just wanted to have hers in hand soon. The changes in my behaviour during pregnancy itself made me realise that I CAN NEVER LOVE ANYONE AS MUCH AS I AM GOING TO LOVE THIS TINY HUMAN GROWING IN ME.

Motherhood has made me the strongest and the weakest person, both at the same time. While on one hand i can fight the World, even closest of my people for my doll, on the other hand just watching her sick or in pain makes me feel like the most helpless and weakest person in the World.

The biggest thing which I realized after becoming a Mom was self worth. Before having a Baby, i never valued my life or my existence. Now that I have her, I just want to take care of myself and want to stay healthy so that i can look after someone who is totally dependent on just me.

Another major change that Motherhood has brought in me is that now my goal everyday is to be a better person. Now that I know that someone is looking up at me all the time, all want to do is to set a good example for her. I want her to feel the way I feel for my Mom, when she grows up she should always think and say that she wants to be like her Mom.

Becoming a Mom means sacrificing your joys and needs, stepping our of your comfort zone, thinking about someone for literally more than 24/7 and never even frown about it. Being a Mom makes you sensitive, emotional, kind, strong, weak, tired, happy and many more of this, all at the same time. The funny and the best part is that no matter how crazy, maddening, tiring and difficult it is, you can never have any better experience or any bigger moment of happiness than this !

About Anisha Agrawal

I am a Mommy to an 1 year old little munchkin. Before becoming a Mom, I was all about doing and learning loads of stuff either through classes or through virtual world. This habit of mine triggered me to make my Mommy journey creative and fun after spending 2 super busy months indoor doing mom duties. Also after becoming a mom, I realised there are so many things a Mother needs to do and I am Blessed to have many people around me who guide me through this. But then there are some Moms who lacks that guidance in their life, which inspired me to start posting informative stuff related to pregnancy and parenting. Also i came across so many Moms who don’t get enough time to research about parenting, hence i thought of doing all the informative researches and keep it to the point and easy to be done with minimal availability of stuff around them. So you can expect lots of tips, personal experiences, DIYs and much more. This Mommy is here for you round the clock !!
